A-Z Of Design: Australian Design

In a collaboration with Case22, Bevans Thirroul is hosting an exploration of design from A – Z.

Between the 50’s and 70’s nearly everyone had a piece of Australian designed furniture in their homes.

The likes of Chiswell, Fler, Elite, Meadmore, Featherston and Parker brought the new global modernist style into the reach of the average person.

Their designs were influenced by the likes of Arne Jacobsen, Jens Risom, Hans Wegner and Charles & Ray Eames who wanted design to be clean, simple and democratic.

This attitude to quality materials, design and workmanship has meant that 50 years later their furniture is just as relevant to the lifestyle of today.

Therefore, we have begun the design series with Australian design, plus it begins with A.

If you are interested in any of the pieces displayed please do not hesitate to contact Bevans Thirroul on 4267 3444 or Case 22 4283 4519.
